Quiltd is a shared dashboard for a household — chores, bills, upkeep, and the details you would otherwise have to dig for. This page explains what it stores, who can see it, and how to remove it.

What Quiltd stores

There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Quiltd does not use cookies beyond what is needed to keep you signed in, and does not collect your location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers: the push address above is the only thing it keeps about your phone, and only if you ask for it.

If you turn on the Face ID lock, your iPhone checks your face on its own: Quiltd is only told whether it matched, and never sees or stores anything about your face.

Quiltd does not store your passwords

There is nowhere in Quiltd to type an account password or a Wi-Fi key, and none is held on our servers. What it records instead is where each password lives — your password manager, the keychain, the drawer — so that whoever needs it knows where to look.

The one password Quiltd does handle is the one you sign in with, and that is hashed by our authentication provider and never visible to us.

Who can see it

Everything you enter belongs to your household, and every member of that household can read and change all of it. That is the point of the app: it is a shared surface, not a private one. Anyone holding your household's invite code can join it, so treat that code as a key. An invite link carries the same code, and your first name so whoever you send it to can see who it's from: treat the link as a key too. The code and name sit after the # in the link, which a browser never sends to our website. The invite page only hands them to Quiltd on the same phone or computer, which forgets them once they're used.

Nobody outside your household can read your data. Access is enforced in the database itself, per row, so it applies to every route into the system rather than relying on the app to be careful. Attached files live in a private store and are served through short-lived links that expire.

In a roommate household, each person ticks off their own share of a bill. Quiltd records whose share was ticked and when, and only you can tick or untick yours: the database refuses anyone else, so nobody can mark you as paid or quietly undo your tick. Everyone in the household can see who has paid.

Where it is stored

Quiltd stores data with Supabase, which hosts the database and file storage and handles sign-in. Data is held on servers in the United States. Supabase processes this data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.

Leaving a household

You can leave a household without deleting your account: More → Setup → Leave this household. You lose access to everything in it straight away, and your chores go back to anyone. You keep your sign-in and can start or join another household.

Anyone in a household can also remove someone who has moved out, from the list of people in Setup. That person loses access straight away, and the invite code is replaced so the old one no longer works. Setup notes who was removed, by whom and when. Their account is not deleted.

Leaving, or being removed, also removes your phone's push address for that household.

Deleting your account

Open More → Setup → Delete account. This removes your sign-in, your membership and any push addresses immediately.

You can export everything first from Setup → Download a copy.

How long it is kept

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed as described above, with no retention period and no archived copy. Routine database backups may retain deleted data for a short period before they roll over.

Children

Quiltd is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. The app gives you all four directly: everything you have entered is visible and editable inside it, exportable from Setup, and deletable from Setup. If you would rather ask us, use the address below.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who can see it, the date at the top will change and the app will say so before the change takes effect.

Who runs Quiltd

Quiltd is made and operated by Brandon Redwine, an independent developer based in Texas, United States. There is no company behind it and no team — one person builds it and one person answers the email below.
